Nine months after completing our renovations we look back on the experience as both rewarding and satisfying. As for the completed project… we love it. It is a statement of who we are.

From the outset we had a fair idea of what we wanted to achieve, a practical, modernistic design that would enhance our lifestyle and deliver a certain WOW factor to our house. The problem was, how to achieve it.
Having consulted with other builders, the biggest surprise to us was that Bray Constructions, from an initial consultation, were able to capture, what we wanted and how it could be achieved better than we could. They opened the door for us to think outside the square. From that point on, both ourselves and Bray took ownership of the project. It was a partnership based on confidence and trust. Looking back on the experience, it was this relationship that was fundamental to the success of the project.

The anticipated issues that everyone who undertakes renovations expects, did not occur. Regular on site meetings and consultations on scope of works meant there were no hidden surprises. Where issues did arise, they were resolved amicably and efficiently. The workers on site were resourceful, accommodating and pro-active in highlighting any issues that needed to be addressed. The entire team had ownership of the project.

In retrospect, the question often asked is “what would you done differently if you had your time over”. In our case we can honestly say…. very little. From start to finish the project ticked every box. As for the WOW factor, many of our friends (some of which are very discerning) continue to compliment us on the best renovation they have seen. A renovation that feeds your ego, just adds another box to tick.
